To stand in the Modernista stairwell hall is to access a living memory of the original construction. The 86-88 Castilho entrance remains intact in its majesty and monumental dimension.
The structural materials kept – wood, iron, limestone – were chosen for their durability and timeless beauty.
Original elements such as iron frames, four-leaf doors and marbles are also preserved.
The interiors reflect a balance between magnificence and comfort.
